Webinar with Anette Kolmos - INTRODUCTION TO PBL AND CHANGE STRATEGIES
25.09.2014 kl. 13.00 - 14.30
PBL (an abbreviation for both Problem-Based and Project-Based Learning) has become more and more popular. Since the first PBL universities were founded in late 60’s and 70’s in Canada, the Netherlands and Denmark, these learning approaches have been implemented at both institutional and course levels.
PBL has become popular in all parts of the world and many new PBL practices have been established. We are approaching a new generation of PBL as a response to the challenges of global collaboration in complex sustainable innovation systems. This creates new demands for the development of the curriculum with blended learning and not at least for keeping the motivation for continues improvement and change.
This first webinar will focus on the presentation of some of the challenges that occur in practicing a student centered curriculum for more than 40 years and the presentation will end by outlining three basic strategies for curriculum change: add-on strategy, an integration strategy and a re-building strategy which can be applied for systemic curriculum change.
