Consultancy
Develop and present consultancy services to sustain the process of change for Institutions:

•Consultancy aimed towards the complete process of institutional change
This area covers complete consultancy programs for the total process of institutional change in relation to introduction of a PBL approach. Typically, this kind of consultancy will be long-term agreements covering all aspects of the process of change. The activities are limited to consultancy tasks and not supervisor agreements.

• Consultancy aimed towards specific areas in a process of change.
This type of consultancy program consists of agreements regarding support in relation to specific areas in a process of change, and not the total process of change. UCPBL operates as a subcontractor within a limited area.

• Consultancy for support of curriculum development
The activities sustain and support curriculum planning and development. This type of consultancy is focused the design of the main educational structure based on local potentials. Furthermore, the consultancy offers evaluation of whether an existing or proposed educational structure is suitable as a platform for implementing new educational model based on a PBL approach.

• Consultancy for staff training programs
This type of consultancy programs offers training in the process of change, and in the structuring of educational programs and their development. These activities are typically carried out prior to the specific course activities listed below in section two.

•   Participate in internationally funded projects related to Project Organized and Problem Based Learning.
The Executive Unit for International Consultancy can act as an active partner in co-financed International projects, supported by e.g. EU, World Bank, Danida or other officially supported projects. If UCPBL is acting as project manager or with a specific liability, it will be operated by the UCPBL as a legal entity within Aalborg University. Such general capacity building activities are mentioned in more details in section 3 below.

Course Activities
Development and conduction of training courses to support and to sustain the processes of institutional change:

• Strategic Level Courses
These courses are specifically developed for Executive Level Staff. The focus is on establishing an overview of the complete process of change and thereby enabling the development of institutional visions and the overall setup for a forthcoming process of change.

• Tactical Level Courses
These courses are aimed at the specific needs of staff at the Academic Director Level to enable them to form an overall main structure of the new educational model. Besides the specific needs for the Academic Directors, these courses also include elements from the strategic level courses and from the following operational level courses.

• Operational Level
The staff training programs focus directly on the needs of the teaching staff in their every day work in the development and conduction of teaching classes and performing supervision. In order to develop a better understanding of the complete and complex structure of the change, the teaching staff will be introduced to some of the processes related to the strategic and tactical level decisions in order to enable better support the of Academic Directors in the processes of the change.

• Overall introduction courses for all members of the Institution.
These courses are aimed to give all the members of the Institution an overview of all the processes in the change process. These courses need to be given relatively early in the process in order to give all members at the Institution a chance to understand their role in the process, how they personally can participate successfully in the process, and what the Institution can expect from the individual members in the future.

The courses in section two will be developed in cooperation with the MPBL master program in order to make it possible to give credit as elements of the MPBL program
